Abstract:

One of the main goals of the Sri Mayapur Temple of Vedic Planetarium is to show the relationship between the Vedic view of the universe and the world of our experience. In doing this, we will take information from SrIla Prabhupada's writings, especially from his translation with commentary of Srlmad-Bhagavatam, as well as other Vedic texts such as Surya-siddhanta, Brhat-Bhagavatamrta, and also modern Western science.

The Temple of Vedic Planetarium wants to demonstrate the Vedic principles of life by using scholarly methodology as applied by both modern empirical evidence and Vedic knowledge. It will scientifically reveal to its visitors the Vedic world view that the universe is a life-based hierarchical system, originating from a Supreme Living Force. The temple is destined to present the Absolute Truth as taught in the Vedas.
